Acupuncture Health Clinic

Acupuncture Health Clinic: Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine based on the theory that energy flows through pathways or meridians in the body and that an imbalance or disruption of this energy flow contributes to or causes disease.

In a treatment session, thin, disposable metal needles are inserted into points along the meridians to stimulate specific locations and restore energy balance.

There are about 400 acupuncture points on the body, with approximately four to 12 stimulated per treatment.

It typically takes six to 10 sessions to see if the treatment will help.

Research suggests that acupuncture may benefit:

Stroke rehabilitation
Headaches
Pain (including facial pain, low back pain, and neck pain)
Anxiety
Depression
Dizziness
Urinary issues
